![]() This is probably what Arambourgiania and other giant pterosaurs with a similar profile did. “It wasn’t super flexible like the neck of a heron or swan.”įor a man-made plane made of metal, having so much mass out in front would be a problem, but Habib explains that a flying animal can compensate for balance during flight by adjusting its wings and shoulders. “That of course is quite interesting because we’re not particularly accustomed to seeing animals with long, relatively inflexible necks that fly,” he adds. ![]() “Like a pole on the end of a plane,” says Michael Habib, a palaeontologist at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine. The fossil itself is a long, thin tubular bone that indicates the animal’s neck would have been massive and probably quite inflexible. We do know that it was found in Jordan and that the specimen was written about in a 1954 paper by Camille Arambourg, the French palaeontologist from whom the pterosaur gets its name. Mysteriously, no-one knows when it was discovered because documentation did not survive with it, but Witton thinks it was likely back in the 1930s or early 1940s. It’s hard to say much for certain about this impressive species of pterosaur, but what we know about its neck is based on one of a few surviving fossils – a vertebra, in this case a neck bone. The people that I have interacted with seem genuinely interested in getting to know other people vs just going in and getting work done and leaving.“It’s about double the length of what we’d see in another giant pterosaur,” explains Witton. The atmosphere at Fueled Collective NE is very warm and does not have that industrial/hipster vibe that places like WeWork have. Please volunteer any other information that will be helpful for future members to understand why they should choose Fueled Collective. The staff is super helpful in terms of being available to answer questions and they seem to have great relationships with other members. Tell me about the team at Fueled Collective. I’m a new member, but since I bring T-Rex Cookies every Tuesday, people tend to talk to me more. What relationships have you formed as a member? I go to FC to get away from the bakery environment and my staff so I can focus on tasks that may not be as fun to do. I do a lot more “paperwork” now as the business grows. How do you use the space at Fueled Collective? Recently, I’ve been doing a lot of product/brand pitches to grocery stores to get T-Rex Cookies in the freezer section. But I find myself doing a lot of deliveries throughout the week to a lot of my wholesale accounts around the city. Our heavy baking days at the bakery are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Not long after her podcast producer introduced Tina to our Northeast location, she became a Fueled Collective member. Soon, T-Rex Cookies will be sold in over 60 Target stores. Since those early days at the farmers market, T-Rex cookies have been available at/in the US Bank Stadium, Super Bowl LIl, their own food truck and two storefront locations in Eagan and Minnetonka. Over the next several years, T-Rex would be featured on the Today Show, Shark Tank, and many local TV and radio broadcasts, and be named Best Cookie in America. After twenty years in corporate America and seventeen as a competitive baker, Tina Rexing launched T-Rex Cookie Company at the Minneapolis Farmers Market in 2015, with a mission to use only REAL, high-quality ingredients in their now legendary, ½ lb cookie.
